If you decide Padgett could be the right fit for you, we’ll ask you to fill out the Request for Consideration form. We’ll review it along with a background check.
You’ll have an opportunity to meet with our CEO, Jeff Phillips, our President, Roger Harris, and our home office staff in Athens to dive into the details of our support and get to know the people who could be new members of your team.
If your Request for
Consideration is accepted,
you’ll then have a chance to
review and sign the Franchise
Disclosure Document (FDD).
We’ll begin the onboarding
process and work with you to
incorporate your history with the
resources Padgett has for the
future. You’ll receive training and
advice from our Home Office and
fellow Padgett firm owners.

No, all of our firms are individually owned. If you are looking for a buyer, we may be able to connect you with someone interested in purchasing.
No. We provide guidance and suggestions for services and pricing, but the decision is ultimately up to you.
No, many of our offices work remotely!
You or someone in your firm needs to have full ability to practice before the IRS, which generally means having a CPA or EA on your staff. We can provide assistance with hiring someone as needed.
We’ll check your financials and credit history, but we don’t have a minimum liquid cash requirement.
Padgett offers some of the lowest royalty rates in the industry, as low as 4.5% and never more than 9%.
We offer flexible pricing, typically starting at $9,250. There are some other costs for your software, website and supplemental marketing services, but contracts provide significant discounts compared to what you’d be paying on your own.
